Members describe their work history, skills, qualifications, years on the job, preferred commute, and goals.
A practical, voluntary job-transition and job-swap initiative designed to help people perform work they already know closer to home whenever possible.
The Purpose
The goal is not to force people to change careers. The goal is to create a responsible pathway for qualified workers to explore comparable opportunities nearer to where they live.
Any transition would need the agreement of the worker and employer and would respect job requirements, seniority, compensation, benefits, licensing, union agreements, safety rules, background checks, and operational needs.
How It Could Work
Members describe their work history, skills, qualifications, years on the job, preferred commute, and goals.
The program identifies people or openings with similar duties closer to each member’s home.
Workers, employers, and appropriate representatives evaluate whether a voluntary transfer or new placement makes sense.
The Standard
Flipped Our Script is a framework for cooperation—not a promise that every job can be swapped. The program begins where the fit is sensible and the people involved agree.
